Complex 16 -hour heart surgery in a 58 year-old man. At the time of admission, the patient had reduced blood flow to his hands and brain, in addition to risk of stroke, heart attack and kidney failure.

The patient was refused treatment at two other private hospitals due to the complexity of the case. However, with the strong support of the Infectious Control team that provided special equipment to prevent any post-op infection, the patient was discharged successfully.
